After St. George we went to Salt Lake City where I got to see my mom, sister and her new baby, and brother and my niece and her new baby! Jazzy and Canyon are by the St. George Temple. Canyon is sitting by my Step Mother's Dog Molly. She is a papillon like Oliver and they got along great even though Oliver was 3 times her size!

This cake my dad made from scratch! It was SO delicious!! The flower picture was an amazing purple flower Canyon picked for me. The picture doesn't do it justice at all, it was SO purple! The other picture is of Derek, Jazzy and Alicia Canyon and I think Ammon's arms playing cards while we were visiting with them! Good times! We miss these guys SO MUCH!! Braden was severely missed!

These pictures are from Newport beach and then St. George where my dad and my brother live. We had a fantastic visit with my family and Dyson latched onto his cousin Derek right away! Ammon and Dameris got to go on a date or two and play guitar together. I feel so bad I didn't get a picture of my dad or my step mother or my brother, Jared! I tried to take many pictures considering Braden didn't get to come with us and I wanted to show him everything about our trip! I love the picture of Dane running with Oliver. I think Oliver was as shocked as the rest of us that Dane was the one on the other end of this leash, but it was so sweet I had to snap a picture! Gotta love Ammon in that hat and those sunglasses! That was his purchase in Venice Beach. He's got a style all to his own! At least he looks good in everything!

Our family trip this year was a BLAST! The Troutman family loaned us their new motorhome and we loved every minute! After stopping at the Moneray Bay Aquarium we headed off to southern California beaches where we played and played!

Go hard or go home.

Dyson's birthday crash won him a life long scar!

Summer Vacation Cluff Style!

See, Table Rock again! We just love the hike! It's not too hard and super rewarding! When Kayla came to visit while she registered for SOU we took her up there. Needless to say she could have kicked all our out-of-shape hind ends all the way up there, but she let Dane win.

Dear Utah, Be good to my kids!

Dear Utah,

Recently it has come to my attention that my daughter and her husband and their pup will be moving to your amazing mountainous landscape because they feel it will be the best area for them to get the education they need in your BYU you continue to flaunt in front of me and the rest of the world. While we all know Brigham Young was actually inspired and we all do love him for all he has done, why does the education facility that holds his name have to steal my children away just at the time when they could provide me with grandchildren.? I understand though, you spent many years so empty and alone, such beauty you've wanted to share for so many years with a limited few to share it with. I know how excited you must have been when people began flooding into you, building houses and planting gardens! Your joy must have been full as you witnessed amazing temples and churches being built on your salty ground. I have to admit, I've been temped a time or two to give up my home just so I could be close to those amazing features you hold. But my place is in the pine trees, I feel at home here and I think in some way the pine trees and I help eachother when things get tough.
So the trend begins for this Cluff family. I raise the children to spread their wings and they fly to you. You take care of them. Play nice! Remember that my heart and soul is in these children!! I've put all I have into them and they hold all that is dear to my heart with in them.!! Keep them safe! Make sure they have all they need to succeed! I know they will treat you right too.
Sincerely,

Mother Bird

Even more of Ammon's return

More Pix of Ammon's homecoming

Ammon's return

No picture of my marathon hug with Ammon because I had the camera clutched in my hands! What an amazing day! And just for the record, 2 years does NOT go fast!

Table Rock Hike

Our family has lived an accumulative 14 or so years in Ashland/Talent area. It took us all this time to discover Table Rock! I mean, we always knew it was there, but didn't know how much fun it was and the history behind the area. Somehow, as a mom, I've been appointed activities chairman. However, trying to recruit family members into the committee isn't always the easiest thing when you tell them your budget has been cut, not just cut by a few hundred, but C-U-T. So, with me being the chairman and committee, I went surfing. No, not the surfing where you fight for your life and try not to get eaten by sharks, but surfing the internet to find ideas for free summer fun for my entire family! We have been back there several times! We pack a light snack and plenty of water and just hang out at the top and look over the edge. Also check out the website and read about the history of the area! You'll love it!

Camping Adventures

Hyatt Lake was our favorite place to go when we lived up the green springs. We still enjoy going there, but now we discovered camping there is a blast as well! No reservations and always a campsite available. This year was warm enough for us to swim every day! Kaylynn and Kevin brought bikes also, so there was always something to do. I discovered Dutch Oven cooking! I taught myself how to cook roast and chicken and rice and a few other dishes by looking it up on youtube! We ate like Kings! but somehow I lost 5 lbs!! Go figure...

This summer has brought us to the coast! Kaylynn and Kevin opened their cozy home to us and have treated us to some 4 wheeling on the dunes!! Such FUN! I think Winchester Bay is one of my favorite summer spots! Could just be that it holds 2 of my most favorite people, or it could be the endless wind supplying the area with the freshest air. It's so refreshing there. Kaylynn has made her home so adorable and is finding herself to be quite a good cook! Surprising to us considering she never even touched a pan in the 18 years she was in my home. Nice job Sweetie!

Photo's of our family after Ammon returned from AZ

I know these are grossly overdue! Having Ammon back in our home has kept us all busy. We have loved listening to his stories and new found passion of guitar playing and singing. He is quite good!! He's been working doing various yardwork jobs and property maintenance trying to earn as much money as he can before he heads off to Utah in Sept along with Kaylynn and Kevin.
